God gives us opportunities, through relationship with him, to live an abundant life in the light, though we be surrounded by darkness. During this Lenten season, let us be aware of the darkness on the outside and on the inside. Let us lean upon God’s grace. Let us follow God’s instructions for this life. It is in this incarnation, that God’s love and mercy takes root in this world and brings about the re-creation of God’s Kingdom “on earth as it is in heaven.” This Christmas let’s remember that it’s not just the story of a baby born long ago, but the story of God’s spirit being born in each of our hearts...today.

Waiting
We spend a lot of time waiting. Waiting for things to be complete. Waiting for what’s wrong to be made right. Waiting for God to DO something. But the Bible tells us that God’s “waiting” is NOT LIKE our “waiting.” God’s time is not like our time. God’s ways are not our ways. As we wait for new heavens and a new earth (in our lives), let us be at peace with our Saviour. Let us hold fast to the wholeness of God’s righteousness (God’s Kingdom at work) in our lives. And let us experience the patience of knowing that the Lord IS our salvation.
