Jesus, the Messiah, the coming one, wants us to be cleansed, changed, and transformed with his presence. Advent means that God comes to us in Jesus because God wants to do something for us that we could never do for ourselves. God wants to be “our righteousness.” Yes, we should be righteous. Waiting
We spend a lot of time waiting. Waiting for things to be complete. Waiting for what’s wrong to be made right. Waiting for God to DO something. But the Bible tells us that God’s “waiting” is NOT LIKE our “waiting.” God’s time is not like our time. God’s ways are not our ways. As we wait for new heavens and a new earth (in our lives), let us be at peace with our Saviour. Let us hold fast to the wholeness of God’s righteousness (God’s Kingdom at work) in our lives. And let us experience the patience of knowing that the Lord IS our salvation. - Dec 3, 2017Keep Awake
Keep Awake
Advent, or the “coming” of Christ, is about our relationship with God. God wants to be “with us” and wants us to be “awake” and aware of that He is doing in and around us. Let us trust that when it seems our world is ending, it’s because a new one is already beginning.
